Advertising Policy

Fernando Martins De Bulhão Publishing (FMDB) is committed to maintaining the integrity, independence, and credibility of its scholarly publications. Any advertising displayed on FMDB websites or journal platforms is managed in accordance with internationally recognized publishing ethics and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. Advertising does not influence editorial decisions, peer review, manuscript acceptance, publication timing, or any aspect of the editorial process. Editorial content is developed independently of commercial interests.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of scholarly merit, originality, scientific quality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope. Advertising, sponsorship, or commercial relationships do not influence editorial assessment or publication decisions.

Advertisement Approval

All advertisements are subject to review and approval by FMDB. The publisher reserves the right to accept, reject, remove, or discontinue any advertisement at its sole discretion and without prior notice if it is considered inappropriate, misleading, unlawful, or inconsistent with the publisher's policies and ethical standards.

Advertisements must:

  • Clearly identify the advertiser or sponsoring organization.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be accurate, truthful, and not misleading.
  • Be clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
  • Not compromise the editorial independence or integrity of the journal.
Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content: Advertising is clearly separated from editorial content. Publication of an advertisement does not constitute endorsement, approval, or recommendation by FMDB, its editors, editorial board members, reviewers, or affiliated institutions of any advertised product, service, organization, or claim.

Advertiser Responsibilities: Advertisers are solely responsible for the content of their advertisements and warrant that the advertisement complies with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including intellectual property rights. Advertisers agree to indemnify FMDB against claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the publication of their advertisements.

Advertisement Placement: Advertisement placement is determined by FMDB based on technical and operational requirements. While reasonable efforts are made to accommodate placement preferences where applicable, the publisher does not guarantee specific advertisement positions or placement unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Liability: FMDB is not responsible for technical errors, interruptions, or inadvertent omissions affecting the display of advertisements. The publisher's acceptance of an advertisement does not imply responsibility for the products, services, or claims made by the advertiser.

Non-Payment: FMDB reserves the right to suspend, remove, or refuse publication of advertisements where agreed advertising fees remain unpaid or contractual obligations have not been fulfilled.

Compliance with Ethical Standards: Advertising and any commercial activities associated with FMDB journals operate independently of editorial processes and are managed in accordance with the publisher's ethical policies, publication ethics standards, and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

FMDB does not accept advertisements that are deceptive, misleading, discriminatory, offensive, promote illegal products or services, or could reasonably be perceived as compromising the independence, integrity, or reputation of the publisher or its journals.
