Direct Marketing Policy

Direct Marketing Policy

Fernando Martins De Bulhão Publishing (FMDB) is committed to ensuring that all direct marketing and promotional activities are conducted responsibly, ethically, accurately, and transparently. Communications with authors, reviewers, readers, librarians, institutions, and other stakeholders are intended solely to provide relevant information about the publisher, its journals, calls for papers, editorial policies, and publishing services.

FMDB ensures that all marketing communications:

  • Are accurate, truthful, and not misleading.
  • Clearly identify the publisher and the relevant journal.
  • Reflect the journal's aims, scope, editorial policies, and publication services accurately.
  • Do not guarantee manuscript acceptance, rapid publication, indexing, impact metrics, or citation performance.
  • Respect the privacy and preferences of recipients and comply with applicable data protection and anti-spam laws.
  • Are conducted professionally and in accordance with the COPE Core Practices and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

Marketing communications may be distributed through the FMDB website, email announcements, newsletters, social media platforms, conference participation, and other appropriate academic communication channels.

FMDB does not engage in deceptive, aggressive, or misleading solicitation practices. Editorial decisions remain entirely independent of marketing activities, commercial considerations, sponsorship, or Article Processing Charges (APCs).

Any concerns regarding marketing communications may be directed to the FMDB Editorial Office for review.
