Abstract:

Hospital care depends on several workflows that have to remain connected: patient identification, protected medical history, bed assignment, bedside monitoring, scheduling, claims processing, and auditing of sensitive actions. The Smart Hospital Management and Patient Record System is a web-based prototype that brings these activities into a single operational interface. The implementation uses React 19, Vite 8, TypeScript, Express, Tailwind CSS, Motion, Lucide React, Node cryptographic primitives, and the Google GenAI SDK. It maintains structured objects for patients, appointments, beds, claims, and audit events. Meanwhile, the electronic health record path uses AES-256-GCM to protect serialized medical-history data and retains the authentication tag with the encrypted envelope. Security-sensitive actions record the actor, role, justification, severity, and a SHA-256-derived signature. The ward component models admission, discharge, cleaning, and transfer as explicit state transitions and attaches telemetry fields to occupied beds. The financial component organizes payer information, diagnosis and procedure codes, billed and approved amounts, claim status, electronic batch identifiers, and remittance detail. This study deliberately limits evaluation to source-level inspection, deterministic scenario checks, data-model verification, workflow mapping, and interface evidence from the supplied project screens. The results establish the functional coherence of a student-scale smart-hospital prototype while making its deployment boundaries explicit: durable database storage, enterprise identity, managed key lifecycle, live interoperability, real device telemetry, formal usability testing and independent compliance assessment remain future requirements.
