At present, to improve workplace productivity, occupational health acts as a critical determinant in the rural workplace environment. But uncertain conditions could cause stress among the rural working women. The main purpose of this study is to analyse the impact of occupational health and work stress on workplace productivity among rural working women. This study used a quantitative research approach. To test the hypotheses, 328 valid primary data points were collected from rural working women in Tamil Nadu using purposive sampling via a survey questionnaire. The study Findings revealed that occupational health has a significant effect on workplace productivity and work stress. Work stress negatively affects workplace productivity. The mediating analysis revealed that work stress plays a competitive mediating role in the relationship between occupational health and workplace productivity. The study concludes with theoretical and practical implications and future directions. The finding indicated that OH has a significant, direct positive effect on workplace productivity and work stress, suggesting that improved health conditions, access to healthcare, and a safer work environment contribute to higher productivity and reduced work stress. Conversely, work stress significantly reduces workplace productivity, suggesting that increased job demands and pressures associated with occupational conditions might elevate stress levels.
